Orphic Fragments

Inspired by the texts inscribed on golden plates, the guides through the underworld, those that were used in the Orphic burying rituals to accompany the deceased, the Fragments address the psychological qualities of places and the transformation of a place into a theater of memory. Every day, for several years, I documented the changes of one particular landscape, through writing, images and sound.

The work (never completed) included a series of photographs, a piece of music, and an installation accomplished during my artist-in-residence stay at the Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo,
