Between 2005 and 2010 he lead a cultural exchange project called "Outside", between Florence and Belgrade in which more than 300 students, artists and art educators took part. As a visual artist, since the 1990s, he has realized many solo exhibitions and curatorial projects in Serbia, Italy, USA, Canada, Bosnia, Albania and his works were presented in many collective exhibitions worldwide. Some of Atanacković's works are part of museum collections. His novel "Luzitanija" was published in 2017 with the publisher Besna kobila (Belgrade).
